This episode doesn’t seem to be working in iTunes. I’m getting an error message that the feed isn’t a valid URL. Can you please fix it? I’m really enjoying your podcast! :o)
We posted last night and have had a couple hundred downloads, although that is a bit light…
It worked for me but we had some domain problems yesterday, and there’s also a feed change going on with Feedburner. Try restarting iTunes, if that doesn’t work you might want to try unsubscribing and then subscribe again. If that doesn’t work send me any error messages you get from there and the version of iTunes you are on.
How are you using twitter?: I started using twitter as just another social networking site (April 08) and started getting friends and family involved, but then realized the potential it had. I still use it socially to keep up with friends and family who use it. But because of the real time communication potential I send links to articles promoting charity or event work I am involved in, get feedback on ideas or surveys, and most recently (with the snow and ice storms this week) communicated with local twitterers about road conditions, weather updates, power outages, etc. I use the regular website while at work, but also use Tweetie on my iPhone.
What are you using for webinars?: As a marketing director for a community bank, I am most often on the receiving end of a webinar, so I use whatever the vendor or sales person is using.
Note: Have only been doing listening to podcasts regularly for about 5 or 6 months and Marketing Over Coffee was my first subscription and still is one of my favorites. Keep up the good work!
Adam
Thanks Adam, that’s very cool. It’s funny, I’m getting to be such an old fart, it rarely occurs to me that there are people out there just discovering podcasting. Enjoy it, there’s plenty of cool stuff out there!
Great episode as always guys. May I suggest http://www.hostmysite.com for your hosting. I have had nothing but great experience with them over the last couple of years. Not only have they been reliable, but their customer service has been outstanding.
Your topic of Social Media and Healthcare is an interesting one. I know two terrific examples that are based here in Nashville.
SoberCircle is a Social Media Network for recovering drug and alcohol addicts. http://www.sobercircle.com
change:healthcare is a network for patients to learn what their local doctors charge and recommend for prescriptions and procedures. Companies can use the service to research the best health insurance firms as well. https://changehealthcare.com/
I know these guys personally, if you would like to chat with them please let me know.
Cheers,
Dave
