I am sure that when the late, great Bill Hicks performed his attack on members of the marketing services industry (suggesting in the strongest possible terms that these people should kill themselves), he probably had in mind this sort of individual. The purpose of life is not to sell food products. Honest. Truly pathetic.
I don’t think there’s much there to judge Mr. Gladwell solely on a small portion of his research, I think it’s more pathetic that the market of food buyers exercises virtually no mental energy to consider the crap they eat. Granted that the food industry is motivated only profit, but it’s sad to have so many willing victims.
